TRAVEL ADVISORY - Dubai attracting tourists despite current crisis. |

Khaled A. Bin Sulayem said that keen interest from the international hotel industry in Dubai continues, an expression of their confidence in the feasibility of the region. "Business has kept up and we have many events lined up for this month, which will bring in visitors by the thousand. "People recognise Dubai as a major international destination, so we are going ahead with events, campaigns and roadshows." Dubai continues to be a booming tourist market for international operators despite the current international political crisis, according to the Director General of the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing. He noted that Dubai offers a wide array of top quality hotels with facilities to rival the best in the world. In addition to the existing 284 hotels, there are major hotel developments in the pipeline. "Dubai is exceptionally well endowed with top class hotel accommodation and part of the reason for this is that the hotel industry serves incoming tourists and business visitors, as well as plays an important role in the social and community life of Dubai residents," stressed Bin Sulayem. Moreover, all Europeans
and American Embassies advised their citizens to continue living and to
work normally in UAE which is a proof that UAE is a safe place to be.
Also all the airlines are still operating normally in UAE without travel
hindrance. As of today we have many tourist presently staying in different
hotels, enjoying the warm clear sea water,friendly service and wonderful
food. |
