The Course

The Course

Dubai Creek is very much an American style stadium built golf course with lots of mounding separating each fairway. Out of eighteen holes, water comes into play on thirteen. Officially opened in January 1993, Dubai's second world class golf course is the centerpiece of an 80 hectare sports and leisure complex that also incorporates a 115-berth marina. Located close to the city centre and the Dubai International Airport on the banks of the Dubai Creek, the course - like the Emirates Golf Course - was designed by Karl Litten to championship standards.

Course Features
The main 18 hole, par 72 course is 6,839 yards in length. Three ornamental lakes and a further three sea water hazards are a feature of the course. Cunning dog-legs along the immaculate fairways and substantial bunkers protecting the individually sculptured greens provide a challenge for amateur and professional alike.

The course starts with a number one hole being a Par 389 yards gentle dog left with out of bounds running parallel with the fairway leftside. When tee-ing up on number two you will see the first of many water hazards that are going to challenge a golfer's skill. By the time holes 3 and 4 have been approached, golfers think to themselves this course isn't that tough.

As number five is played, a 487 yard par 5 and the next 13 holes, opinions change and they quickly realise that this course lives up to all expectations, What has been created here is truly magnificent from, the tees to the greens, the waterfalls to the lakes, even the special feature of the fishing village that is surrounded by three holes 9, 10 and 11. Everything is done with such high quality!
