Described as a 'supercourse' by leading sections of the golfing press, the 162 hectares of the Abu Dhabi Golf Club by Sheraton features two world-class 18-hole golf courses - the challenging 7,204 yards, par 72, fully mature National Course and a more forgiving 6,524 yards, par 72 Garden Course, with 9 holes floodlit.
Designed by Peter Harradine, planting had begun way back in 1992, accounting for the well-established look the Club presented even on the day of its inauguration. An abundance of palms and ornamental trees further contribute to the Club's mature appearance, while strategically placed bunkers and salt-water lakes offer a challenge to golfers of all levels. To maintain the lush greenery of the National and Garden, over two million gallons of water are pumped into the courses every day.
