Dubai National Zoo is the oldest zoo of its kind not only in the United Arab Emirates but also in the Arabian Peninsula. Palm Deira will become the world's largest man-made island, housing more than a million people. Although no timetable for completion has been announced, it is expected to be finished by 2015. This island is 8 times larger than the Palm Jumeirah, and 5 times larger that the Palm Jebel Ali. Originally, the design called for a 14km (8.7 mile) by 8.5km (5.3 mile) island with 41 fronds. Bur Dubai is a historic district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, located on the western side of the Dubai Creek. It is home to several popular places for tourists. The name literally translates to Mainland Dubai, a reference to the traditional separation of the Bur Dubai area from Deira by the Dubai Creek. This is because Bur Dubai historically consisted of all districts between the western bank of the Creek and Jumeirah.

The Grand Mosque was only rebuilt in 1998 and boasts the city’s tallest minaret, at 70m (231ft). Jebel Ali located thirty-five kilometres southwest of the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The port began to be constructed in the late 1970's along with Jebel Ali Village which was used, initially, for the construction workers of the port.
