So
Good To Arrive....
Arriving
at Al Maha is an experience rooted in the traditions of Arab
hospitality, and as far away as you can get from the concept
of 'checking in'
|
You
will be greeted personally by your own dedicated hostes in the
cool of spacious central building's maze of delightful rooms,
and offered the tribal welcome of dates, Arabic coffee and delicately
blended fruit juices. |
|
|
|
| The
space is unhurried, and so at your leisure, the delights of the
main areas are revealed to you. The serene library with its beautiful
books, daily magazines and newspapers, antiques and informative
artworks, the ladies and men's majlis(traditional arabic place),
with their fascinating antiques. |
The
lounge and veranda, where you can take tea in the afternoon
, or sit and watch the animals at the nearby waterhole through
field glasses at dusk.
But your arrival is just a beginning, and our warm hospitality
extends beyond a welcome.

Fit
for a King the Royal & Owner's Suites
Al
Maha's hand-picked service team is drawn from over 15 countries,
speaks a total of over 20 languages but is focussed on just a
single objective: to ensure that your stay is everything you wish
to be-and more...
Attention to detail is flawless. The use of wood and traditional
textiles lends a soft, natural feel to the cool interior. Subtle
recesses cradle beautiful vases. Hand-embroidered, cushions, delicate
brassware and locally sourced art emphasise the Bedouin heritage.
|
Al
Maha's two Royal Suites promise a hedonistic mix of luxury, space
and authentic Bedouin artistry. The spacious lounge, graced with
Arabian antiques and handcrafted furnishings, links the suite's
two bedrooms, with their dreamy tented roof structures, teak beds
and magnificent marble and stone bathrooms.
The Royal suites, along with the even larger and self-contained
Owner's Suite, enjoy privileged positions in their own grounds.
Floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views over the desert
and the Hajar Mountains. And each day, your private temperature-controlled
pool will tempt you onto your expansive veranda-to bathe, to muse,
and to drink in the beauty that surrounds you. |

At
Al Maham, your suite is more than just somewhere to stay, it is
a part of the experience. The architectural style, materials and
textures all draw inspiration from the traditions of a Bedouin
encampment.
Above you, the soft curves of the calico invoke the Bedouin tent.
Handcrafted woods turn furnishings in to art. And the legendary
generosity of the desert way of life is reflected everywhere,
from the sheer space of your cool interior to the sweeping wooden
veranda complete with its own private temperature-controlled pool. |
Here
in your Bedouin Suite you can be completely private. Just as a
tent stands apart from all others, so your suite stands separately
from its neighbours. But there is one thing that they all share
in common: the breathtaking views across the time less desert
to the mountains beyond.
Panoramic views of the nature reserve can be enjoyed from the
outside wooden verandah or from each suite's personal pool. |
|
|
|
| The
rich earth colours of the open courtyard. The sensual lines of
an ancient pot or the delicate fossils found in the stone floors.
The intricate patterns of a decorated ceiling. At Al Maha, every
detail has been created to enhance your senses, the spirit of
timelessness and history, and to bring you closer to the beauty
of traditional Bedouin culture. |
The
suites themselves are ideal for a romantic interlude three days
is an average length of stay at Al Maha, however , several guests
arranging their return visit, have booked for a week, or even
longer.
