How to get to Krabi and Koh Lanta : From Bangkok

By Car :

1. Take Highway No. 4 upto Chumphon (Or take No. 35 first and change to No. 4 at Ratchburi Province)
2. Take Highway No. 41 to Surat Thani Province
3. Take Highway No. 44 to Krabi Province

By Air :

There are several airlines operating scheduled flights from Bangkok. These include Thai Airways International (www.thaiair.com) and Air Asia (www.airasia.com). The trip takes 1.20 hours. Bangkok Airways runs scheduled flights from Koh Samui to Krabi.

On international routes, there are direct scheduled flights from Singapore and Malaysia. Thai Air Asia runs scheduled flights from Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.

There are also chartered flights from Europe, which normally operate during winter season. Direct chartered flights operators include Tui (Sweden and Denmark), Thomas Cook (Sweden and Norway), and Fin Air (Finland).

By Bus :

From Bangkok, there are frequent buses departing from the Southern Bus terminal. Comfortable air-con buses are available at reasonable prices. The trip takes about 12 hours.
