By Car:
From Greater Taipei or western Taiwan take the Sun Yat-Sen Freeway, the Second N/S Freeway, or Provincial Highway 5 to Keelung.

From Danshui, take Provincial Highway 2 to Keelung (from Yangjin Road, Danjin Road change to Mainjin Road). From Yilan or eastern Taiwan, take Provinceial Highway 2 or County Road 102 to Keelung.

By Train:
All trains on the Western line and the Eastern line, and some on the Yilan line stop at Keelung.

By Intercity Bus:
Kuokuang bus company has buses to Keelung from Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, kaohsiung, and other cities. In the Taipei area, Kuokuang buses can be boarded at the Taipei west station, Zhonglun, Shipai, Neihu, and Danshui. Fuhe buses leave every 10-20 minutes from Banqiao and Xindian. In the Neihu area the Shoudu bus company has buses that depart from Miramar every 10 minutes during busy hours and every 20 minutes during non-busy hours.
