
DIVING AND MARINE INFORMATION
| Licensed divers must present their c-card and/or logbook before diving. The resorts strictly follow a "no c-card, no dive" policy. | ||||||

BOATS USED The standard banca or outrigger boat can accomodate up to 10 divers. Dive groups are usually formed with 6 guests to a boat. |

DIVE COURSES Prior arrangements is required through the Manila Sales Office. The resorts offer three dive courses: Open Water, Advance, and Rescue Diving. Each course takes at least five days to complete. You wil be required to present a medical certificate for diving eligibility and two 2" x 2" photographs. |

DIVING OPERATIONS Divers acclimatize in front of the Resort or in a suitable confined area. A civemaster handles up to a maximum of six (6) divers at one time. Additional safety dive guides are assigned to bigger groups and novice civers. The divemaster controls all dives. Third dives are optinal and can be arranged at additional cost. Cave diving is not allowed. Night diving may be arranged. All dives are No-decompression dives. |

DIVE SPOTS El Nido has 20 principal dive sites which offer a wide variety of diving, namely: rock formation, slope reef, flat reef, submerged reef, drop-off and tunnel dives. |

EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT All resorts have emergency equipment and oxygen resuscitators. |

EQUIPMENT RENTAL Equipment rental is on a first come first serve basis. BCD's and regulators are available at the Resort. |

WATER CURRENT The current in El Nido varies from very slight to moderate depending on tidal conditions. Generally very manageable, divers can swim back to the dive boat without difficulty. |

|
WATER TEMPERATURE
The best time of the year for diving at El Nido is during the tropical summer months of March till May, as surface conditions are good during this time. El Nido area is a Protected Area. Collecting corals, shells and the like, as well as spear fishing, are not permitted. |
