Infinity Pool
The Infinity Pool is another unique feature of Heritance Kandalama hotel. It is one of the ingenious concepts of the hotel architect Mr. Geoffrey Bawa. The edge of the pool blends with the water of the Kandalama Lake, giving the impression that you are in the lake itself, although the pool is physically located at a much higher elevation. The Infinity Pool is also the location of the rock on which ‘Siripala’ (traditional flutist from the village) plays his flute in the evenings. Whether to soak in the pool, sun bathe or sit by the pool side and enjoy Siripala’s music, the Infinity Pool is a favourite location among guests.
Natural Pool
The natural pool is another example of Geoffrey Bawa’s ingenious blending of the natural topography with the architectural features of the hotel. The bottom of the pool is the actual bedrock upon which the structure of the hotel rests. The surface of the rock has been coated with plastic to prevent water seepage and facilitate cleaning the pool. Bathing in irrigation reservoirs is a Sri Lankan tradition that stretches back two and a half millennia. As a guest of Kandalama you can also enjoy this experience from within the comfort of the hotel itself.
Business Center
Do you need to attend to some urgent business while on your holiday? This is not a problem. The Heritance Kandalama has a fully equipped business centre with broadband Internet connectivity, computers, printers, fax and photo copying machines. Our friendly staff can help you with whatever function you need carried out. The Business Centre also performs a valuable supporting role if you are organizing a corporate event at the hotel.
Library
In the tradition of naming all the facilities of the hotel beginning with the letter ‘K’ (Sinhalese letter Ka), the name of the library translates into English as “rumours”. The ‘Katakatha Library’ has a range of books on Sri Lanka including books on Sigiriya.

Six Senses Spa
The spa uses indigenous herbs, drawn from ancient Asian traditions, as well as tropical fruits and exotic oils. These are used with steam, sauna, massage, scrubs, baths and wraps by highly skilled therapists.
Swedish, Asian and aromatherapy massages are available as well as our own Ayurvedic traditional massages. Also on offer are beauty care treatments like facials, manicures and pedicures.
Fitness Center
The hotel has a modern gym fully equipped with modern gym/fitness and weight training equipment such as free weights, treadmills, exercise machines, etc. Professional instructors are also on duty at all times to advise and assist you. The gym is free of charge for all resident guests of the hotel.
