The hotel’s structure was formerly a primary school, Pearl’s Hill Primary and later in 2001, was replaced by the Stamford Student Residence. It is also the first former school building tendered out by the Singapore Land Authority to Hartawan Holdings (formerly Vita Holdings) for hotel use.
