Located in the National Marine Park, some 5 km from Mahé and Victoria, the Seychelles capital, Cerf Island is ringed by white sandy beaches and coves and covered with dense tropical vegetation. This small granite island is just 1.7 km long by 900 metres wide. The surrounding reefs, with their abundance of marine life, are a paradise for divers.

L'Habitation Cerf Island is the island's second tourism establishment, opened in January 2001. Blending perfectly with its surroundings, l'Habitation has a special ambiance ideal for those seeking privacy in a peaceful setting. There is accommodation for up to 24 guests. The main building, designed in colonial plantation house style, has 10 comfortable and spacious rooms with terraces overlooking the sea and the marine park.
