4 Days 3 Nights Chengdu Meeting & Tour

Day 1 Singapore -> Chengdu (Lunch, Dinner provided)

Visit Chengdu Panda Base in the afternoon, visit Chengdu Jinsha Ruins Museum in the afternoon.

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is located in the northern suburb on Futou Hill, 10 km from downtown Chengdu. Giant pandas at the Chengdu Research Base live in large natural habitats, which help the visitor to understand how these animals live in the wild. It is an excellent recreational area and a highlight of any visit to Chengdu. Many types of bamboo, trees, and flowers thrive; several species of birds also make their home there.

Jinsha Ruins Museum exhibits the splendid culture of the ancient Shu Kingdom 3,000 years ago, modifying previous assumptions about the origins of the Chinese civilization. Over 6,000 pieces of cultural relics with sophisticated craftsmanship, like carved jade, gold, bronze, stone, and ivory artifacts, have been unearthed at the Jinsha Ruins. Historians believe they are the remains of the ancient Shu Kingdom mentioned in stories of the Qin and Han dynasties.

The discovery is considered by local archaeologists as one of the most important finds in the region's history

For dinner, you can have the Famous Sichuan Hotpot. Hotpot is the famous and favorite dish in Sichuan. It is noted for its peppery and hot taste. Customers gather around a small pot heated with charcoal, electricity, or gas. Each pot is filled with a nutritious soup. Around the wok are placed a dozen plates of paper-thin slice of raw meat and other ingredients. The customers pick up the raw ingredients and boil them in the soup. Then they take them out of the wok, dip them in a little bowl of special sauce and eat them.

As an option in the evening (200RMB extra), enjoy a wonderful variety show of “Face changing” and “Flame Spitting – Out” of Sichuan Opera.

Day 2 Full Day Meeting (Bfast and Lunch provided)

After meeting, free at leisure on your own to explore the historical and beautiful city Chengdu.

 

Day 3 (Lunch and Dinner provided)

Visit River-Viewing Pavilion Park (Wang Jiang Lou Gongyuan), it has more than 150 kinds of bamboo brought from all over Asia, and the lush bamboo forests provide plenty of shade in the summer. There is a four-story wooden 'river-viewing pavilion' that was built in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) in memory of Xue Tao, a Tang Dynasty poetess who often wrote about bamboo (thus bamboo is the park's specialty). The pavilion overlooks the Jingjiang River. It is a good place for the local people to drink tea and play Taichi or Chinese Gongfu.

After lunch, visit the Qing yang Palace, a famed Taoist temple in China, is in the beautiful and cultural relic laden city Chengdu. It is in the west of the city on the bank of the Jinjiang River.The temple has been restored repeatedly in the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911), but retaining almost all its original scale and style. In front of San Qing is standing a pair of special bronze goats. One of the goats has a single horn with unique shape - the characteristics combination of 12 animals of China.

Afterwards, visit the Kuanxiangzi (wide lane) and Zhaixiangzi (narrow lane), it used to be home to officials in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties and are among the city's cultural heritage sites still intact today. Originally, single-story houses and courtyards featured the specialty of the area. To relive the taste of local life years ago, teahouses and folk arts are readily found in the area while displays of the lifestyle, dialects, food and customs of Chengdu in the past will be reinstated in museums.

Day 4 Beijing -> Singapore (Lunch, Dinner provided)

Drive to Dujiangyan Irrigation system in the morning, visit Mt. Qing Cheng in the afternoon.

Dujiangyan Irrigation System is one of the world first irrigation systems and ratified into the World Cultural Heritage list. It is located on the upper reaches of the Minjiang River. It was built between 306-251 BC. The local people are under the guidance of Libing and his son. Fortunately the Dujiangyan Irrigation system brings the vast Chengdu Plain under irrigation and has protected it against droughts and floods for over 2,300 years. Because of this Chengdu Plain has turned into the land of abundance with a mild climate and fertile soil.

Mt.Qingcheng ratified as Cultural Heritage by UNESCO is the headstream of Chinese Taoism. the initiator of Taoism, Zhang Taolin in the end of East Han Dynasty, came to Qing Cheng Mountain to instruct Taoism from Shanxi. There still go round supernatural stories describing how he fight hard with devils, how the "Brush Pen Groove" and the "Three Island Stone" formed. After Taoist master Zhang Taoling passed away, Qing Cheng Mountain also became prosperous as the headstream of Taoism, original Mountain of Taoist Master. Back to Chengdu, service ended!
