Spa Uluwatu at InterContinental Bali Resort is a facility dedicated to the overall essence of wellness. The spa itself is a combination of several unique treatment venues designed to cater to the healing and beauty needs of a diverse cross-section of international travellers. Spa Uluwatu is a tastefully appointed venue for individuals to indulge and savour a healing or beauty ritual of their choice. Complete with male and female areas, a steam room, Jacuzzi and juice bar, Spa Uluwatu is all about delivering personalised experiences. Villa Retreats is a private sanctuary with a distinct Balinese ambience for couples, friends, family members and even life partners to partake in relaxing treatment packages. Secluded from the rest of the property, there is a timeless energy at the Villa Retreats that evokes a deep sense of wellness and inner calm. Spa Uluwatu also incorporates a series of tented pavilions that overlook the waters of Jimbaran Bay where guests can enjoy an invigorating massage or reflexology therapies. In addition, a Beauty Salon offers a concise menu of hair, nail and facial treatments.

The resort also offers a complete range of other activities such as shopping, swimming, beach, sea activities, golf and tennis to name a few. Planet Trekkers caters to our younger guests providing organised activities include fish feeding, sports and games.

Pools
The main pool covers 1200 square meters, flanked by a typical bale on the southern side and the casual Jimbaran Gardens Restaurant and swim-up bar on the opposite side.

In addition to the romantic Balinese Pool there are a number of fun pools. The Spray Pool creates an inviting, cool atmosphere and beautiful rainbows.

The exclusive Club Pool and a pool within Planet Trekkers are reserved for Club InterContinental guests and children respectively.

Sport and Fitness
The resort grounds are large enough to enjoy a ride on our fleet of mountainbikes and tandems or just take the whole family on a ride in a becak. Watersports activities and tennis are also available.

In addition to a spacious, fully equipped and airconditioned fitness centre, open 24 hours, outdoor activities range from Yoga on the beach to leisurely strolls through the extensive gardens.

Planet Trekkers Children's Resort
Planet Trekkers is a dedicated children's centre that has been developed as a mini resort for our younger visitors. It operates daily as a care facility catering specifically to children of two distinct age groups (4-7 years and 8-12 years) with tailored activities in a fun-filled, supervised environment.

The facility itself encompasses a child-friendly space with an indoor air-conditioned club house as well as an outdoor swimming pool, climbing frame, mini basketball compound, table-hockey, and ample recreational space. Inside children can enjoy turtle workstations for arts and crafts, a cushioned reading corner and a plasma television. A purposely designed Internet cave is also set up with 4 computers to access appropriate age-related websites.

Theme Dinners:

Fisherman Night
The dinner is preceded by pre-dinner drinks in the Candi Bentar, the Resort’s Balinese open theater. During the pre-dinner drinks, Balinese musicians, play rindik, Balinese bamboo music instruments. The sound is subtle and appropriately hypnotic. After the pre-dinner drinks, the guests are carried by traditional Balinese horse drawn carriages, to the fishermen's village located 15 minutes from the Resort. An experience not to be missed.

Mystical Night in Bali
The sumptuous dinner is preceded by a cocktail party in the enchanting Alun-Alun area. This welcome cocktail reception in the Alun-Alun area takes full advantage of the famous Balinese sunsets. The Alun-Alun is beautifully grassed and overlooks the white sand beach and bay of Jimbaran. Music is provided by Balinese musicians playing the traditional wooden instrument, rindik. As the sun goes down, the local Balinese can be seen throwing their fishing nets in the shallows or taking their boats out to sea for an overnight fishing expedition.

Indonesian Rijsttaffel
The venue is the Candi Bentar, the cultural Balinese open theater. Set around a manicured lawn and surrounded by stunning tropical gardens the evening will unfold to be a memorable Balinese experience. Plengkung-Balinese arches of coconut leaves encircle the area, strings of finely cut palm leaves, colorful Balinese long flags and tiki torches will be part of the decorations creating a festive atmosphere. Each table will have wooden puppets beautifully arranged with tropical flowers and banana leaf strips encircle candles as the table lamps.

Sarong Party
The Sarong Party is always a winner for building atmosphere and entertainment. We recommend a Seafood BBQ party at the Sunset Beach Bar, overlooking the Jimbaran Bay. The colorful Balinese traditional fishing boats - jukung - are placed in the area as decoration together with colorful Balinese umbrellas, tiki lights and brightly colored long flags.

Night Market
The Night Market venue is our grassed area known as Alun-Alun. Located at the beachfront, overlooking Jimbaran Bay, this area provides a truly unique setting for a dinner to remember. Taking full advantage of the famous Balinese sunset, it combines the sound of the sea and the gentle breezes from the bay. Local artists and traders exhibit their wares around the grass area and guests can roam in search of the elusive bargain. The range of goods featured include wood carvings, jewelry, woven baskets, shells, textiles, clothing, paintings and many other unique crafts and art pieces. Guests can practice the art of bargaining as well as watch the craftsmen at work.
