Hotel Description & Location

Shandrani Resort & Spa is a masterpiece of architecture. Wide open spaces under an expansive thatch structure, which houses the main public areas which lead out onto the pool and the bay beyond. Shandrani recently underwent a major expansion phase, significantly increasing its accommodation. An entire new accommodation wing has been created, with an emphasis on family apartments and interleading rooms. Children-friendly describes the new theme of Shandrani, with the mini club for children up to 12 years and youth club for the 12-18 year olds, being a focus of entertainment. Shandrani is characterised by its three separate beaches, one in front of the hotel which is the centre of the sports facilities, another for quiet relaxation and a third "wild beach" where the waves sneak through a gap in the reef.

Guest rooms
The Deluxe rooms redefine the contemporary chic with simplicity and character. The room is spacious with a lounge area, a vast bathroom with bath and shower, a walk-in wardrobe and separate toilets. The furniture, fabrics and texture combine tawny, chocolate and mahogany as well as flowery prints and startling pictures, which capture the essence of the Mauritius.
The Superior rooms are more intimate and modern. The bathroom is sophisticated with the latest design in fixtures, robinetterie and amenities. The light colours and the bay window opening onto the terrace with pergola bring out the room’s luminosity. A gorgeous L-shaped couch is also at hand.

Le Grand Port
Serves buffet style breakfast and dinner daily. Theme buffet menus are enhanced by décor which transforms the restaurant into the setting of the theme.

Porto Vecchio Superb Mediterranean specialities elegantly served and masterfully presented. Situated in the main hotel area close to the Blue Bay Bar. Half board and a la carte menu. Open for lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner, 12h00 to 22h30.


Mauritius_Shandrani_restoLe Boucanier Close to Le Grand Port restaurant, specialising in seafood delicacies. Tastefully decorated with romantic evening atmosphere. A la Carte menu only. Open 19h00 - 22h30. Closed on Sundays.

Le Sirius Newly built near the new rooms this bar and restaurant has magnificent views over the bay. Its large swimming pool draws the eye across its edge blending in with the sea. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with choices from a varied menu. Open 07h30 - 22h00.

Blue Bay Bar In the heart of the activity of the hotel next to the swimming pool. Serves poolside snacks and afternoon pancakes and cakes for tea. Open 10h00 to 01h00.

Water Sports

Enjoy water-skiing, sailing, kayaking and pedal boat trips. Try out diving in the swimming pool or at sea or one of our amazing catamaran cruises.

All water sports are free of charge except for diving and catamaran cruises.

Diving Centre focuses on environmental awareness, personalised service and quality.
Three dives at sea are organised per day and Shandrani’s superb Marine Park is a real plus. Divers may also go trough different learning levels from initiation to the Dive Master.

Sailing Club

Those who want to undertake the different stages of the training will obtain a certificate recognised by the sailing schools of the world. The unique location of Shandrani allows the hotel to deliver courses to the amateurs in a safe and secured stretch of smooth water.

Entertainment

When the night falls, Shandrani reveals in its original shows, the cultural richness and local traditions of the island. The entertainment programme is versatile: Indian, African, Cuban nights, séga nights, fashion shows and much more…

Spa

Shandrani’s Spa proposes 11 gorgeous and brand new massage rooms, spread out on two separate wings, dedicated to traditional and specialised treatments.


Land Sports

Shandrani proposes a wide range of sporting activities including soccer, volley-ball, cycling, bocci ball, aerobic sessions, tennis (6 floodlit courts) and a 9-hole golf course.

All sports are free of charge to residents except for the rental of bicycles.
