The double rooms with evocative names reflect a hushed, romantic and yet exotic atmosphere in a refined setting due to the mix of warm colours, precious woods and period furniture. If the entrance is from the garden, all rooms open up on to a terrace or balcony that overlooks the beach and the ocean. Cool during the day, they become alive soon after sunset through the skilful arrangement of indirect lighting and wood-framed mirrors. The 20 “Pondichery” rooms – 50 sq. m on ground or first floor – are characterized by a sumptuous fuchsia or mauve lotus flower which seems to stick out of the cerused anise green or turquoise headboard of the king size bed in contrast with the cream walls and beige marbled floor. Indirect lighting enhances the vividly coloured silky cushions, the flimsy curtains draped along the ceiling and the wooden furniture – like this trunk treasure at the foot of the bed, this half-moon console desk below a huge mirror. The 27 “One Thousand and One Nights” rooms – 50 sq. m on 1st or 2nd floor – are the apex of romanticism. The bed nestled in a recess fitted with lateral mirrors lies against a fuchsia background fitted into carved and latticed wood. The draped flimsy curtains, the silky cushions in pink and green tones as well as a sumptuous Indian lamp hanging from the ceiling contribute a lot to the intimate and refined atmosphere of these rooms devoted to the idyllic celebration of love. The 18 “Junior” suites – 60 sq. m on ground and 1st floor – have a magnificent view over the cove and the beach. Elegant and roomy, they uncover an abundance of carved wood in the massive furniture and latticed walls as well as a daring mix of a yellow and orangey palette with turquoise blue silk cushions that wink to the giant red lotus engraved in the headboard. Flowing and transparent drapes dress up the headboard and the latticed wooden frame that divides the warm sitting area. The meticulous attention to detail and decorative objects of the Junior suites contributes to this intimate, cosy and romantic atmosphere. The hotel's catering boasts a culinary art based on fresh local products cooked in home style and personalised service. The three restaurants nestled on beach or waterfront - let alone right into nature - have complementary menus to treat you to the multicultural atmosphere of the island and pure romanticism.
The main restaurant “La Belle Créole” – that overlooks the swimming pool– is open every day for an American breakfast buffet and table d’hôte dinner/buffet, which showcases the diversity of Creole, Indian and international cuisine. The gazebos on the terrace are an invitation to a romantic dinner in enhanced privacy. The panoramic restaurant “Bikini Bar” - on the rocky peninsula with a splendid view on the ocean and the five islets off the coast – opened for lunch serves cocktails, seafood grills and salads right on the waterfront or in little secluded kiosks, along the fine sandy path, near the steps carved in basalt rocks leading to the sea and the boat house or else in love nests that protect your privacy.
The romantic restaurant “La Cocoteraie” – small huts for two built on stilts right on the beach amidst a coconut grove – welcomes lovers for a romantic candlelit dinner to the sounds of the bubbling cascade and lapping waves of the cove. You can enhance the pleasure of savouring seafood and local specialties by dressing up for that special occasion in typical Maharadjah or Maharani costumes. The cocktail bar – “Cozy Corner” is the heart of the residence. Overlooking the swimming pool, the golden sandy beach of the cove and the gardens, it is the central meeting place all day long. The cocktail bar, sitting corner and terrace are engulfed in a warm atmosphere where the precious woods of the floor and the furniture blend with the rattan furniture and the vivid colours - fuchsia, anise green for the armchairs and orange for the light fittings. During the day, natural sunlight engulfs and warms the place. And after sunset, a cosier atmosphere created by the right balance of indirect lighting welcomes guests for pre-dinner drinks or convivial get-togethers during after-dinner musical shows.
