How to get there

Transfer to Vilu Reef is by seaplane or speedboat. The speedboat takes 3 hours to cover the 150 kilometres between Malé International Airport and Vilu Reef in South Nilandhoo Atoll. It is only much quicker to travel by seaplane which takes a mere 35 minutes for the journey, it also provides the greatest aerial views that you would see anywhere in the world, as you fly over the atolls heading south towards your final destination.
