Orimas Thila,
a few minutes from Ellaidhoo, specializes in the smaller details
of reef life; all the little fish and finer details so easily
overlooked. The other two protected sites are home to two of
the largest fish in the waters. Maayaa Thila is known as the
White-Tip Reef Shark capital, and Fish Head is renowned as the
Grey Reef Shark capital.
If Grey
Reef Shark and White-Tip Reef Shark aren't enough for you, there
is a full day excursion to see the hammerheads of Rasdhoo (4am
start!).
There
are nearly 1200 small islands and an abundance of beautiful
coral reefs in the Maldives. To give you the opportunity of
visiting some of these islands and reefs, we organise weekly
excursion programs.
Island
Hopping: Full day excursion to an uninhabited island and
a resort island, with BBQ lunch included.
Visit
Hangnameedhoo: Half-day trip to an inhabited island where
you can experience the daily life of local people.
Snorkelling
Trip: Hal-day snorkelling on the house reefs of two resort
islands.

Safari: Half-day snorkelling on some of the reefs near Ellaidhoo

Fishing: Fishing on a boat at a nearby reef at sunset, followed
by a BBQ dinner. Likely catches include snappers, jack fish
and groupers.
Night
Fishing: Fishing on a boat at a nearby reef late in the
evening, with a BBQ dinner on the following day. Likely catches
include snappers, jack fish and groupers.
Morning
Fishing: Trolling for fish early in the morning, with BBQ
dinner on the same day included. Wahoo, barracuda, sailfish,
dolphin fish etc. are commonly caught during morning fishing.
Male'
Excursion: Full day shopping trip to Male', the capital
island of Maldives.
