Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort offers many opportunities to experience the unique natural wonders of Borneo, including a Nature Reserve with an Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, the only one of its kind in the region.
The Nature Reserve offers a tantalising glimpse into Borneo's tropical forests. The reserve, the first of its kind in Sabah, is a key part of our commitment and contribution towards a sustainable environmental conservation that combines leisure travel with ecological sensitivity. |
For golf enthusiasts, the superbly sculptured 18-hole course at Dalit Bay Golf Club & Spa, designed by Ted Parslow, offers a stimulating playing experience whilst experiencing the natural beauty of Sabah.
And, at the end of a day of golf or exploring, relax with one of the many indulgent treatments at the adjacent spa.

Ensconced within the 400 acres of Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort, this superbly 18-hole championship course designed by Ted Parslow, provides the challenger with a stimulating playing experience, and was designed with the sensitivity to the natural beauty and the character of Sabah. Bordered by the Tambalang and Mengkabong rivers with a stunning vista of Mount Kinabalu in the distance, Dalit Bay is a prime wetland course where water comes into play at every hole.

The fully equipped Pro Shop offering a range of balls, gloves and headwear to complement our personal range of apparel, with a further selection of premium golf equipment available for rental. The registration desk is located within the shop to allow for one-stop registration and payment for equipment purchase and rental. |

Exploring Nature
The Borneo wilderness begins just outside the resort, and offers the curious explorer many fascinating sights and adventures. Most popular of all is a visit to our Nature Reserve, where you'll meet our famous Orang Utans, rescued animals who stay with us for a few years so they can return to the wild and thrive.
The Reserve is also home to a wide spectrum of Sabah wildlife such as two species of deer, long-tailed macaques, pheasants, civets, bear cat, masked musang, monitor lizard, water hens, porcupines, slow lorises, pangolins, pitcher plants, fruit bats and 63 species of birds.
Guests may help support our rehabilitation efforts through our unique Foster An Animal programme, which provides funding for the care and feeding of these fascinating yet threatened animals. If you choose to become one of our Foster Parents, you may have the name of your party and your chosen animal listed on our Web site.

The children's pool, open from 7am to 7pm, is located in the main pool area.
Kids Club
Our guests enjoy complimentary use of the Kids Club, which offers children from 4 to 12 years old engaging playtime in a supervised environment.

Orang Utans
Meeting an actual Orang Utan in a near-wild setting is a special experience all children enjoy. Older children may appreciate the opportunity to learn about and even help support the reserve's animal care efforts. The resort's nature reserve also offers short guided walks suitable for families.
Ranger
An activity that is sure to appeal to children of all ages, this a half-day programme where children are given the opportunity to get hands-on in assisting the rangers with their daily tasks including feeding the animals. A fitness check at the hotel’s clinic is required prior to participating in the programme. |
Pantai Dalit Beach
A secluded stretch of beach thirty minutes north of Kota Kinabalu, Pantai Dalit offers private expanses of soft white sand ideal for families or vacationing couples. The Sampan Bar serves refreshing drinks and snacks during the day. |
Pool

The resort swimming pool is a favourite choice for a cool dip amid our luxuriant gardens. You may enjoy refreshments and drinks at the adjacent Tepi Laut.
The pool is open from 7am to 7pm. A children's pool is located next to the main pool.

Open from 7am to 10pm, our state-of-the-art Health Club offers cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, crosstrainers, step machines, rowing machines and stationary bicycles.
The separate men's and women's changing room are fitted with lockers, showers, dressing and grooming areas, steam rooms and Jacuzzis.
Swimsuits and athletic wear are available for purchase at the Tamu-Tamu shop located on the Lobby Level. |
