Facilities include a water sports centre, three tennis courts, a Par 3 Executive Golf Course, a spa and beauty centre as well as two lagoon-shaped swimming pools. There’s something for everyone with never a dull moment in between with organised daily activities such as water aerobics, volleyball, cooking lessons, tai chi and jungle trekking. Health & Leisure Whether your plans include adventure or pure relaxation, the Golden Sands Resort offers an enticing array of activities for both adults and young people, including the Adventure Zone - a unique family entertainment centre for children and adults. It is a 10,300 sq. ft. comprehensive indoor facility catering for family style activities where children, teens and adults can interact together in a safe environment. Housed within this air-conditioned facility are three categories of exciting drop slides, multiple sections of modular play equipment, a game zone and theme birthday party rooms.
Exploring Nature Penang is both one of Malaysia's most developed regions and a place of enormous natural beauty. Beaches, jungle preserves, and parks can be found throughout the island.
Jungle Trekking Down the road from Batu Feringgi lies Teluk Bahang, home of the Pantai Acheh Forest Reserve. Resort guests are invited to participate in a guided walking tour of this beautiful jungle region. We depart the resort at 7.30am on Mondays and Thursdays. Total hours of the tour will be approximately two hours. Proper walking shoes and shorts or trekking pants are advisable as attire. Children under 10 years old of age is not advisable to participate in this tour. A fee will be charged.
Kids and Young Adults Children staying at the resort are especially in for a treat with complimentary admission to the Adventure Zone, a unique family entertainment venue that is the only one of its kind in Malaysia. The10,300sq. ft. air-conditioned indoor facility houses three categories of exciting drop slides, multiple sections of modular play equipment, a game zone, toddler area, themed birthday party rooms and café. A Kids Club is also housed here, with complimentary organised daily activities for the little ones.
Guestrooms Hillview Family rooms offer a double bed, a single bed and a sofa bed to amply accommodate up to four guests.
Adventure Zone The Adventure Zone is a unique family entertainment centre for children and adults. Its 10,300 sq. ft. comprehensive indoor facility catering for family style activities where children, teens and adults can interact together in a safe environment. Housed within this air-conditioned facility are three categories of exciting drop slides, multiple sections of modular play equipment, a game zone and theme birthday party rooms offers engaging playtime in a safe environment.
Children's Pool The children's pool and the waterslide, opens from 7am to 7pm is located in the main pool area.
Kids Club An abundance of fun and entertainment await your children everyday at the Kids Club in Adventure Zone. The range of activities change daily from fun-filled action events such as golf putting, pool games, snake show, t-shirt painting, art and craft any many more. Organised activities for kids 4 to 12 years old, daily from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm. These activities are free of charge apart from t-shirt painting and sand art. Mobile phones are available on loan basis for parents who wish to be in contact with their children. Batu Feringgi Beach Batu Feringgi, the 'Foreigner's Rock' has been a popular beach among locals for centuries, and is now home to some of the most luxurious resorts in Malaysia. Golden Sands Resort is located directly on the beach, with a beach walk for the use of our guests.
Pools The resort has two lagoon-shaped swimming pools set amid tropical gardens, open from 7am to 8pm each day. Kuda Laut, the adjacent pool bar, offers light snacks, cocktails and refreshing drinks within traditional, thatched Minangkabau architecture. The children's pool with waterslide is open from 7am to 7pm. The activity pools and whirl pool are open from 7am to 8pm.
In and On The Water To ensure a safe, fun and enjoyable beach and ocean experience, East Wind Watersports offers a variety of activities catering to all in-house guests. Please take note that other outside watersports operators on the beach are neither licensed nor insured companies.
Fitness Centre The resort’s modern, fully-equipped Fitness Centre features a variety of machines and weights to suit your exercise programme. Massage and reflexolology appointments may also be made.
