Le Calao Luang Prabang, Laos |
![]() ![]() |
Calao.
Franch word (borrowed from the Malay language) to designate the 'hornbill',
a tropical bird of Asia and Africa with hornlike growth on its impressive
beak. Chosen because it is the contraction of the two words Canada and
Lao, Le Calao thus recalls the origins of the joint venture company owning
the hotel.
It enjoys an unspoiled view of the Xiengmene hills, Wat Longkhoun, Wat Chiomphet, and the fabulous Luang Prabang sunsets. |
