Hotel Description & Location

The Giraffe Manor is an elegant, personally hosted, small and exclusive hotel, famous for its resident herd of giraffe. The Giraffe Manor offers a rich blend of welcoming accommodation, highly trained and friendly staff, as well as one of Nairobi's finest kitchens.

Travellers from all over the world now make The Giraffe Manor part of their East African safari, the only place in the world where you can enjoy the breathtaking experience of feeding and photographing the giraffe over the breakfast table and at the front door.

The Giraffe Manor is surrounded by 140 acres of indigenous forest just outside Kenya's capital, Nairobi. As well as the giraffe, the property is also home to many species of birds, large families of warthogs and the elusive Bush Buck.

There are six bedrooms at The Giraffe Manor, each with its own bathroom. One of these rooms is suitable for children (under 18 years) travelling with parents. The rate for this room is 50% of the full rate.

DIRECTIONS

  • From Nairobi's City Centre head west on Langata Road.

  • Follow Langata Road past Wilson Airport, then on past Nairobi National Park's main gate and past the Bomas of Kenya. Do not take a left onto Magadi Road.

  • Follow signs indicating the Giraffe Centre and A.F.E.W and turn left onto Langata South Road.

  • Follow this road roughly 4kms in the direction of Hardy Police Station and Shopping Centre. Follow signs for the Giraffe Centre and A.F.E.W and turn left onto Koitobos Road.

  • Follow this road for one kilometre, avoid making any turns, and pass over two speed bumps. The Giraffe Manor is at the end of the road and is clearly marked.
