- Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine (5 min by subway, 10 min by above-ground train)
Take a look at the Main Hall, designated an important cultural asset. The shrine is visited by many students before exams, as it is where Michizane Sugawara is worshipped as the god of literature and calligraphy. There are many points of interest, including the seasonal plum and iris groves, the treasure house, and more.
