R o o m The Taj Residency at Calicut is a business hotel located in the historically significant spice trading town and sea port of the Malabar Coast. Calicut has a spice trading history that goes back to 40 BC and today exports pepper, arecanut, cardamom and other spices to Europe, America and Japan. Its busy Court Road is the centre of spice trading activity, where farmers meet buyers and middlemen. It is today also a thriving trading centre for wooden logs from Asia.

The Taj Residency is located on a landscaped area of 4.75 acres and is a ten minute walk from Calicut beach. It offers 75 well-appointed rooms including six suites, equipped with all modern facilities. There is a multi-cuisine restaurant adjoining the lobby that serves Indian, Continental and Chinese specialties, especially the delectable Kerala fare. The Lobby Lounge will serve tea/coffee, cocktails, burgers, sandwiches and ice-creams. A bar serves Indian and international liquor. The restaurant, lounge and bar overlook the poolside and adjoining garden. The terrace garden on the rooftop, seven storeys high, offers a beautiful view of the city as well as the sea.
