Brunei is known across the globe for being a rich resource base for oil. In fact the extraction of oil has contributed to the economy of Brunei in a big way and is responsible for its economic prosperity. The authorities at the Brunei Shell Petroleum considered it necessary to enlighten the locals and the tourists of this entire procedure and initiated the Brunei Seria Oil Field Tour.
Seria
Oil was first discovered in the area very near the river in 1929 and people whom made the oil discovery mentioned that the oil was found in "Seria" and therefore the name of the area become better known as "Seria". You will get to see rows of the affectionately-named “nodding donkeys” which pump the lifeblood of Brunei’s economy from the oil-rich earth of Belait.
