1st Route From Bangkok, take Highway No.1 and No.32 to Nakorn Sawan, then proceeds to Phitsanulok by Highway No.117. Finally, turn right to Highway No.12, Phitsanulok – Wangthong – Lomsak, Natural Park Resort de Wangthong is located at the 36th kilometer of the highway. The distance from Bangkok about 390 kilometres.

Nearby Attraction

A major tourist destination in the Lower North, Phitsanulok is situated on the banks of the Nan River some 377 kilometres from Bangkok. Most of the terrains are flatland, with mountain ranges running on the east where waterfalls and national parks offer opportunities for nature treks. Historically, Phitsanulok has been a major community since the time of the Khmers and enjoyed great prosperity during the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya periods. During 1463-1487 it was practically another royal capital as King Borom Trailokanat of Ayutthaya resided permanently in the province.

Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahatat Woramahawihan (39Km.) The famous Buddha of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, is one of the most highly revered Buddha images in Thailand. Made of gilded bronze and dating back to the 14th century, the serene figure is a supreme example of late Sukhothai art. It has served as the model for many other Buddha images. It was cast in the attitude of subduing evil.

The Sgt. Maj. Thawee Folk Museum (39Km.) is a fascinating private museum and it is a must-see attraction in Phitsanulok province. Sets in several small buildings, the museum was set up by Sgt. Maj. Thawee Buranakhet in 1983 featuring tools and utensils formerly used by local folks and exhibitions on their livelihood which collected from various regions.

Poi Waterfall (34Km.) A sign at km. 61 reads Suan pa Khao Krayang and introduces a 2-kilometre access road to Poi Waterfall, which is distinguished by a copious flow and profuse rocky outcropping. Many species of flowering trees grace the area.

Kaeng Song waterfall (12km.) is situated on the Wang Thong River of Lomsak Road (Highway 12) at kilometer 45. The falls have small pavilions to accommodate tourists, and concessions are sold on the premises.

The Shrine of King Naresuan the Great (40km.) was built in 1961, located on the premise of ChanPalace, his birthplace and residence. King Naresuan the Great is highly respected by the Thai people as he was the one who command the troops to liberateThailandfrom the Burmese occupation.
