Eco resort was lovely. The rooms are spotless and good value for money. If you get the correct one that is. On arrival they were not aware of our booking even though they had called me the night before to confirm and I had a conformation email printed. We booked a twin and were told we would have to go into a dorm as there was no other rooms. It was late and we were tired so stayed in the dorm room. The room was very nice and very clean however not what we wanted. We then had o move the next day at 2pm into our twin. The food was lovely however they hardly had anything advertised on the menu and this went for drinks as well. The four nights we stayed there stocks got lower until there was only beer or cream soda to drink. We waited over an hour for food when the restaurant had 6 people left to serve including us. The waiter didn't seem to have a clue what was going on! Washing powder was advertised and again wasn't available for the whole time we were there as well as there never being any change for the machines. On checkout we disputed the fact that they still charged us for a twin when it was a dorm and they said we had been 'upgraded' as no other people stayed in the dorm with us. The receptionist said there was nothing she could do and we had to pay. Location wise you have to get a tuk tuk everywhere but it's 40thb and nice to stay away from the centre. The pool is lovely and so are the gardens. Breakfast is ok if you like rice and eggs. Overall it was nice to stay and not the worst but if this place wants to keep its trip adviser ratings it seriously needs to change the staff who seem to have no idea what's going on! Good value but so are a lot of other places in Chiang mai. Unfortunately don't think this place deserves its excellent reputation.
