Sawasdee has acquired properties in Pattaya and now Bangkok. who knows what hotel this was before. but now it's branded (and painted purple)--as I have booked with Sawasdee before on your site, I know they suit my taste. service is Thai-style: minimal but friendly. room was comfy, bathroom located in what seems to be a closet, but that was OK. nothing special, but good value. it's a fair distance down Soi 8, past private houses, so it's quiet and removed from the noise/pollution of Sukhumvit, but a short walk to the BTS station. I booked this as the Swiss Park was booked out, I think that one has better location and more character. but Sawasdee worked fine for my needs.

the hotel staff I would say were very good , from the front desk to the cleaning staff quite efficient. The hotel room although being quite small was very clean and well kept. The location is quite good for access to either BTS or Sukhumvit.
