Holiday Inn Atrium is an impressive building with its unique architectural design. The spacious lobby and tube-like elevators in a cylindrical-designed interior structure are eye-catching. While the building itself is nice, the reception lacks the warmth of welcome for us, guests. The room is spacious enough with nice lighting and soft, comfortable pillows. However, we found the phone and digital clock dusty. We particularly had some disappointments with the housekeeping services. We actually tried to call the attention of the duty manager regarding the apparently rude behavior on the part of some housekeepers. We felt that the "Do Not Disturb" sign was not respected. The housekeepers, during the majority of the days we stayed there, kept on knocking on our door or calling us on the phone, ringing the doorbell, and even to the point of removing the "Do Not Disturb" sign itself. They wanted to make-up the room at the time they wanted to do it, without respecting our privacy. Of course, we would request to clean our room during the day or early in the evening. We would call the housekeeping every time we were ready to have it cleaned up. Anyways, we hope they do better next time. Regarding the buffet breakfast, it's a disappointing experience to have exactly the same set of foods for the entire time we stayed there. We were booked for several days and we ate exactly the same foods for breakfast! I believe the F&B of the hotel could be more imaginative and creative with regard to the menu. Overall, it was a memorable stay, but the hotel could improve a lot in the matters we have mentioned.

Hotel was what I expected of a Holiday Inn and price reasonable for Singapore. Everything worked, only problem is that internet access is too expensive at over 20 US/day. Great World City is best option nearby with lot's of shopping and restaurants. Other than that, learn to use the bus service since there's no MRT station nearby, it works well if you're on a leisurely schedule. Nice area around the river as well.

Hotel is good though a bit old. Food is healthy. Service is excellent, well trained, friendly. Room space is spacious enough. The good thing that there is a free shuttle bus to orchard and Sentosa Island. Very good.
