Estancia Resort Hotel 3 stars

The Casitas accommodation assigned to us by the hotel is very far from the hotel's main building. Although the balcony has a nice view, I didn't feel safe at all 'coz the door and the screen to the balcony didn't have locks. The cable TV did not have clear reception and the remote control was not working properly. The bathroom smelled cigarette and the bedsheets didn't feel clean. Lastly their pillows are not comfortable. They were so hard and heavy. The room's lighting was very dim. My husband and I were not able to sleep well 'coz we were paranoid that somebody would just climb up the balcony and barge in our room since there were only door chains attached to keep them closed. The breakfast was also terrible. The hot chocolate served to us were of low grade (malabnaw). Instant chocolate drink powder (Milo) would have been way better.

Nice facade, lobby, but please also have a good maintenance of the Casitas. Due to insects, please change dilapidated screens. I prefer Casitas due to view compared to hotel rooms.

The hotel is very accessible, can be easily found. We rented a casita because it was the only unit with a view of the lake. The Casitas are located far from the front desk and is only accessible by foot. The casita itself was good sized, with a good bathroom. The only thing missing was a hair dryer, which was supposedly part of the amenities of the room. The tv showed HBO channel. I'm not sure if there were more channels available. I couldn't find the remote control! The veranda was Great, providing a good view of the Taal lake. It was very quiet in the morning aNd I was able to do some of my "yoga moves.". The resort's amenities were as stated. We had. Great time at the billiards table, and there were guests who used the table tennis.the jacuzzi was on a scheduled basis, and the pool seemed always available. We spent the night in February, when it was a bit cool, so we weren't able to use the pool/jacuzzi. Overall, we had a great stay and would not hesitate to go back again
