Lagen Island is located in the eastern side of the bay, its land area of 310 hectares making it the fourth biggest island in the protected area. Lagen is a local Cuyunin word for "stone stove" and the island was named Lagen because to the locals, its shape resembles a primitive stove with funnels.
In one of the coves in the island, offering the best view of the bay and the sunset, is El Nido Resorts Lagen Island. It is the only resort in the island and the second resort under the El Nido Resorts banner. It is also the most luxurious resort in the area.
Direct access to El Nido is from Manila via Island Transvoyager Inc (ITI). The regular aircraft use is a 19 seater Dornier with a flight time of approximately 75 minutes. Iti flight schedule:

Great for a peaceful retreat from work. Excellent and efficient staff, specially their Guest Activities Department, specifically Dennis, Mae Ann, L3, Rommel and Gretchen of F&B. Basically everyone made sure youll have a comfortable stay. They were a great example of true Filipino hospitality. Hats off to their Palawan / Cuyonon graciousness.
There was a minor problem with our WaterCottage aircon but they were quick to fix it, even apologetic. Great housekeeping staff as they were almost invisible but very very efficient.
El Nido Lagen's vista was breathtaking but it was the staff that really made it special.
Me and my husband had an amazing time at the El Nido Lagen Resort. We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our honeymoon. The islands were beautiful and breathtaking. The staff was very accommodating and sincerely helpful. You can stay at the resort for a time of relaxation, or take a boat ride to the other islands for other activities. It is also impressive that the resort takes nature conservation and preservation seriously.
