Hotel Overview

The 136- room Tanjung Rhu Resort is located at the northernmost tip of Langkawi Island. The resort is spread over 1,100 acres of sprawling rainforest, rolling limestone, untouched mangroves, with luxuriously furnished rooms and suites boast spectacular views of the Andaman Sea, the surrounding forest or the Resort’s famed and landscaping. Upgrading to Enhance Guests' Experience

The Resort shall be embarking on an upgrading programme that aims to enhance the overall experience of guests. The programme which essentially involve the guest rooms and the restaurants of the Resort will commence this April 2012.

Room upgrading works to stretch a period of 6 months beginning of April to November 2012. Main works only to be carried out between the hours of 9am to 6pm shall be enforced, along with firm cut-off orders before and after these stipulated hours of work.

The Resort shall be taking to ensure that the overall stay experience of Guests will be delightful, is the offer of complimentary recreational activities to guests during days of 'heavier works' at the Resort. These would include activities such as Island Tours, Mangrove Tours, Nature Walks, Fish and Eagle Spotting and Cooking Classes.

However, the resort will still be operating as usual throughout the period of the upgrading, with at least 50% of our rooms available for guests stays and functioning restaurants for guests' enjoyment.
 

Accompanying Children

Except for the Damai Room, children under the ages of 12 may be accompanied in either the Cahaya room or the Bayu room category at no extra charge but subject to confirmation by the hotel. The Damai room's layout and interior furnishing make it extremely difficult to accommodate an extra mattress. Cahaya room can only accommodate a maximum of one child whereas the Bayu can accommodate up to two children.

Children are defined at the Tanjung Rhu Resort as persons aged from 3 years and up to 12 years. Teenagers between 13-19 years of age accompanying parents should be accommodated in an extra room based on the Original package taken by the parents.

To maintain the standards, quality, tranquility, and comfort of all guests, Tanjung Rhu Resort will only allow a maximum of ten (10) children at any one time at the Tanjung Rhu Resort.

Tanjung Rhu Resort will require advice for any booking where accompanying children are below the ages of 12 years. Infants aged below three (3) years of age are not considered in the children count.

Amendment Policy
Once reservation is confirmed, any amendments are resulting in the reduction of room nights with respect to reservations made will be considered as partial cancellation and subject to full cancellation charges will be imposed and any guarantee shall be forfeited accordingly.

Cancellation / No Show Policy
Any cancellation made less than seven (7) working days prior to arrival date or no show, Tanjung Rhu Resort is reserves the right to levy a cancellation charges equivalent to full length of stay.
