NEWS UPDATE: Tanjung Rhu Resort – Upgrading To Enhance Guests’ Experience
Warm greetings from Tanjung Rhu Resort!
As the Resort is continuing the upgrading program that aims to further enhance the overall Guest experience, we would like to update you on the progress of the upgrading program, which include the Guest Rooms and Restaurants, in the effort to make our guests’ stay at the Resort even more delightful and memorable.
The works, as mentioned in our previous notice, have recommenced on 18th February 2013 and will continue in planned phases throughout 2013. We anticipate that all Guest Rooms and the Rhu and Saffron Restaurants will be refurbished by mid-December 2013.
Guest Rooms
As at today, we have refurbished 16 Guest rooms comprising 8 Damai and 8 Cahaya Suites. Works are currently being carried out on 55 Suites in the West wing of the Resort. Following the completion of these 55 Suites, which is expected by the end July 2013, a progressive program will see all Guest Rooms completed by the end of 2013.
The upgrading works involve refitting the room interior with an improved layout, new furniture and fittings, new wall and ceiling panels as well as electrical and plumbing improvement.
Restaurants
Works on restyling the Saffron restaurant are in progress and the Saffron is scheduled to reopen on 1st October 2013. It will have a new interior look, new furnishings and an upgraded kitchen. The Saffron menu will in the meantime be available in an alternative dining venue.
Work on the Rhu Restaurant is also in progress and is targeted for completion by 31st July 2013.
Alternative venues for dining will be open during the upgrading of the Saffron and the Rhu Restaurants. In the meantime we are pleased to advise that the Sands All Day Dining Restaurant will operate as usual during 2013.
A new Restaurant is also being built at the area adjacent to the Sands Restaurant and across from the Sands Pool and this is expected to be completed by approximately mid-May 2013.
Managing the Upgrading Works
Guest comfort and convenience shall remain our top priority and the Resort Management is committed to delivering guest comfort and safety while the upgrading works are in progress. We assure you that the programme shall be managed in a systematic, phase by phase manner to keep any inconvenience or disruption to a minimum. A phased approach of works has been adopted to ensure that the Resort will have an adequate number of rooms available. Equally important, the Resort Management will ensure that Guests will continue to enjoy quality and variety in the area of Food & Beverage at the Resort.
The upgrading works will adhere to a daily work schedule that has been established. Main works shall be carried out between 9.00am to 6.00pm daily. Some extended hours may be implemented focusing on minor works. The cut-off time for works shall be managed in the interest of Guest comfort. Aesthetically pleasing hoardings shall be erected at the works areas to buffer and control both the noise and visual impact of the works.
Special Complimentary Activities
We are also happy to inform that the Resort has taken an extra initiative to delight Guests by offering daily recreational activities on a complimentary basis during days of heavier works to ensure they have an enjoyable and restful vacation at the Resort. These recreational programmes will be advised to guests on daily basis and will include Tours, Chef Cooking Classes and other activities of interest.
Thank You For Your Ongoing Support
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your kind understanding and continued support during this period of upgrading.
Tanjung Rhu Resort will continue to welcome guests during 2013. We are determined, as always, to ensure our guests have an enjoyable and delightful experience during their stay with us and to make the future even better with our new improved rooms and restaurants.
