Just ten minutes from Kota Kinabalu International Airport the resort is set in 25 acres of award-winning gardens along the sweeping bay with a private beach overlooking the islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park. STAR Marina :

Exclusively owned and operated by Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa, Kota Kinabalu, STAR Marina is a new recreational facility providing professional water sport services, boating and cruise facilities including a learning facility for dive enthusiasts. The facility consists of an exclusive private jetty, a boat yard for repairs and maintenance, a boat ramp, water sports atrium and dive centre offering a variety of dive certification classes, facilities and equipment.

Look forward to hours of fun in the sun with various motorised and non-motorised water sport activities including jet skiing, water skiing, wake boarding, banana boat, kayaking, wind surfing, hobie cat and paddleboarding. The marina operates daily scheduled transfers to the island and welcome requests for fishing trips and private charters. Open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Children Policies : Maximum 2 children per room stay free with parents. For Child meal plan is maximum 2 Children per room of registered guests under the age of 06 can enjoy complimentary buffet meals when dining with parents. For children above 6 and below 12, a 50% discount will be accorded.

Turn left from airport. At Tanjung Aru traffic light junction turn left and drive straight down to Tanjung Aru Beach. Turn right at the second roundabout and drive straight to end up the road where the resort is located.

Great hotel - live up to the 5stars expectation. Checking in was smooth. I showed the staff the Asia travel voucher upon check in. However, upon checking out, i was charged higher rate than the asia travel rate. Apparently, they did not have my voucher with them. Took some time to sort this out and i had to send my voucher again. Good thing i have my email on hand.

Had a pleasant stay! With 2small kids its a great place for Families who just want to relax and hv fun in the sun. Anything about the sofa, beds Or cushions are super comfy! The place is also very secure because help from staff is everywhere Like at the swimming pool, water play area, kids area you never worry Where your kids are going. Staff were very helpful n quick response to our request.

We loved our stay at the hotel. The children had a wonderful time with the water slides. The room was spacious and clean.

Lovely pool, great hotel. Kids really enjoyed the slides and water bombs. Beautiful sunset bar. Well equipped gym. Great place to chill for a few days. Very pleased to see that treated drinking water is made available to guests in reusable glass bottles, but disappointed to see that this service is not throughout the hotel. We still had to resort to plastic bottled water in the buffet restaurant. Also disappointed to find palm oil being used for cooking.
