Come and enjoy an evening out by having a Khantoke Dinner “Traditional Dinner" and Thai Classical Dance, the customary Northern Thai style of eating food which is served on large platters. As you enjoy your meal, let  yourself be entertained by a selection of Northern Cultural performances including the charming Fon Lep (Thai Finger Dance), Ram Dab (Thai Sword Dance), Fon Thiean (Thai Candle Dance), and Ram Wong Dance (Group Dance) where guests will be invited to join with beautiful Thai dancers. Visitors who have been to a Thai Dinner show in Bangkok usually decide to give Khantoke dinners a miss because they think the two are similar. The Khantoke Dinner Dance Show is much more enjoyable than other dinner shows because of the pervading informal atmosphere, really different style of cooking and gentle slow-tempo dance entertainment followed by an insightful glimpse of the social lifestyle of hill tribes. Five different dishes are served along with a basket in which rice has been steamed. A brief explanation of the food served follows: "Gaeng Hung-Lay", Burmese pork curry; "Gai Tawd" fried chicken; "Paad Pugg", fried vegetable (usually cabbage); and "Naam Prik Ong" pork tomato-chili paste, mildly hot, served with fresh cucumber slices; "Kaeb Moo", pork rind, which are for dipping with paste; along with these food dishes, a starter or canapé should be included, e.g. fried banana. Dinners can use fingers to break off pieces of sticky rice and dip it into the various bowls instead of using cutlery. Dessert is popped rice crackers, coffee or tea and a bit of "miang" which is a chew similar to beetle nut but you won't have the cosmetic effect of red lips. Every night there are Khantoke Dinner Shows which is popular with Thai and overseas visitor alike. The meal is served on a wooden pedestal tray call "Khantoke", and the dishes are all authentic northern Thai delicacies such as Gaeng Hang Lay, a gingery pork curry; the chili-tomato-minced pork dip called Naam Prik Ong, and the crunchy pieces of pork scratching or Kaeb Moo, for dipping into the rich gravy. To end the evening, there is a special hill tribe show performed by various members of Yao, Lahu, Meo, Lisu, and Karen hill tribe.
