Shanghai Mansions was called the Broadway Mansions, built in 1934 by a British merchant. Since the establishment of new China, her name has been changed to Shanghai Mansions by the Shanghai Municipal government.

With her special architectural elegance, the mansions together with the well known Baidu Bridge nearby, constitutes a beautiful and world famous symbol of Shanghai City.
