Across the town plaza is the St. Joseph Cathedral, originally built in 1767 by the Jesuit mission. Although the structure has been renovated but the original silver pieces in its altar are well preserved and still being used.Across the Cathedral is another old Spanish-built edifice, which now houses government offices. A walking distance is the Bohol National Museum, which displays historical artifacts of the province.
