| DESCRIPTION | DAY
1 - ARRIVAL IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM (D) Arriaval to Brunei International Airport and meet and transfer to hotel and after check-in, Free at Leisure till 6:30 pm. Steamboat dinner at the hotel. Proceed for night tour after dinner. Overnight at Sheraton Hotel. DAY 2 - KUCHING, SARAWAK - SIGHTSEEING (B/L/D) After breakfast, early transfer to Miri. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. It is a scenic ridel along the coastal highway of Brunei. You will be passing through 3 districts of Brunei and the District of Kuala Belait is where all the activity of the oil and gas industry concentrates on. Transfer to Miri Airport flight to Kuching. Our guide will meet you at the airport and assist you with checking-in procedure at the luxurious Merdaka Palace, there is a sightseeing tour of Kuching City in the afternoon, which includes visits to the Cat Monument the oldest Chinese Temple Fort Margaherita, the Istana (the former palace of Raja Brooke), the colonial Court House, the world renowned Sarawak Museum, a delightful walk along the waterfront and a breathtaking trip to the top of the City Tower for the panoramic view of Kuching City. Kuching is a haven for souvenir shopping and antiques. Overnight at Merdeka Palace. DAY 3 - SARAWAK CULTURAL VILLAGE & ORANG UTAN SANCTUARY (B/L) Depart for the tour with a visit to the Sarawak Cultural Village to learn about the 7 replicas of Sarawak major ethnical traditional houses include Chinese Farm House, Malay Stilted House, Melanau Tall House, Penan Hut and Longhouses of the Biyaduh, Iban & Orang Ulu. Then proceed to village's theatre to witness cultural dance presentation. Resume tour to Semenggoh Rehabilitation Centre. Trek through the jungle trail & look out for semi wild Orang Utan in their natural habitat. Amazing experience to meet wild man of Borneo! On the way back to Kuching, stop at Sarawak Pottery Factory for buy souvenir & gift. DAY 4 - LONGHOUSE AND LEMENAK RIVER SAFARI (B/L/D) After breakfast, we drive up country passing scenic greenery of rainforest and fields of pepper and rubber to the Lemenak river. We stop along the way to visit an excellent market in Seria town and lunch at mid-way. Later a delightful 45 mins boat ride, we arrive at Nanga Kesit. We will have time for orientation tour of the long house. During the evening, welcome celebration of the Iban dances highlights your most unforgettable longhouse experience. Overnight at guesthouse. DAY 5 - LONGHOUSE (B/L/D) After breakfast, have fun by participating in the blow pipe demonstration. Later, you will be taken for an enlightening nature walk and continue to trek to Sekandis long House. Enjoy the wonderful day having your picnic lunch by the river. In the afternoon, paddle down river to return to your guesthouse. Overnight at the Guesthouse. DAY 6 - LONGHOUSE - KUCHING - DEPARTURE - Miri (B/L/D) After breakfast, we proceed down river by boat and then overland for the return journey to Kuching, where you will be transfered to the airport for your onward evening flight to Miri. Overnight at hotel, Miri DAY 7 - MULUCAVES (B/L) After breakfast, transfer to Miri Airport to take 35 minute flight to Mulu. On arrival at Mulu, we transfer to Mulu Park Chalet for Check-in. After a set lunch, we visit the Deer & Lang Caves, which are about 5 minutes by van. Visit the visitor center before proceeding on the 3km elevated plank walk through the jungle to arrive at the caves. Here, we witness the bats exit. From the safety of the observation platform. We return to the park chalets late evening. Overnight at Park chalet. DAY 8 - MULUCAVES (B/L) This morning, after breakfast in the resort, we will visit the Wind and Clearwater Caves. Our upriver longboat journey will be around 35 minutes. On the way, we will stop over at the Penan settlement where there are some nice handicraft made by this semi-nomadic tribe. After visiting King's Chamber in the Wind Cave, we will go along the plank walk flanking the limestone cliff to the Clearwater Cave. Picnic lunch is served at the Clearwater rest house. You will have time to relax and swim in the natural pool. Arriving back to the resort late afternoon to enjoy the resort's various recreational activities. DAY 9 - SABAH, LAND BELOW THE WIND (B/L/D) We depart after breakfast for our flight from Mulu to Kota Kinabalu, capital of Sabah. On arrival in Kota Kinabalu, you will be transferred to your hotel - Beverly Karamunsing and have the rest of the morning free. In the afternoon, there is a city orientation tour, which covers Signal Hill for a bird's eye view of the city and the five offshore islands, Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, Atkinson Clock Tower, Likas Wetland, Sabah Foundation building, Kampong Likas, Sabah Museum (closed on Friday), Tanjung Aru Beach, hawker stalls and Sembulan water village. Return to Hotel Seafood dinner at Nelayan Restaurant in the evening. DAY 11 - MOUNT KINABALU (B/L) Drive 2 hours overland (88km) through padi-fields and Dusun villages over the ridges of the Crocker Range to the foothills of the 5,000 foot high Mount Kinabalu. We arrive at the park headquarters at Kundasang Visitor Centre and Mountain Garden; home to some of the 24 species of flowering rhododendrons, 10 species of carnivorous pitcher plants, estimated 1,400 species of orchids, over 600 species of ferns, more than 400 species of oak trees and over 300 species of birds. We continue 40 km journey to Poring. Explore tropical rainforest among the jungle trail leading to the treetop canopy walkways suspended 41 meters above the forest floor before returning to Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at HYATT hotel. DAY 12 - GAYA ISLAND MANGROVE BOARDWALK (B/L) After breakfast, proceed to town jetty for transfer by boat to GAYA Island, you can explore one of the several jungle trails as you learn about some of the unique medicinal plants that grow in the area, as well as the tropical hardwood trees, coastal vegetation and ecology of the dipterocarp and mangroves forests. From there, you will be taken across the sea to Sapi Island for a picnic lunch, where you can relax or snorkel before returning in the late afternoon back to Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at HYATT hotel. DAY 13 - BRUNEI (B/L/D) Breakfast in hotel, Free leisure transfer to Airport for flight to Brunei. Arrive to Brunei, Check into Hotel and free at leisure. At 330 pm, pick up for Proboscis Monkey Safari tour which takes you to the river tributaries of Brunei river, you will pass the largest water village in the world and proceed to the pristine mangrove forest where proboscis monkey thrives. Brunei government does not practice commercial logging and all our forest are in pristine condition. Enjoy the evening sunset and also experience the spectacular sights of hundreds of egrets flying back to the mangrove tress for the night. DAY 14 - BRUNEI HERITAGE (B/L) After breakfast at hotel, we depart for a full day heritage tour of Brunei which will include the open markets, a busy place where locals buy their daily products, some 'ready to eat' food, handicrafts, local herbs and medicinal plants, Malay Technology Museum: comprising of 6 galleries. 1.) Unique and priceless collection of Islamic Arts, 2.) Malay lifestyle and wedding ceremony. 3.) Oil and Gas 4.) Natural history Museum 5.) Royal lineage 6.) Shipwreck treasure discovery. Lunch will be at a local restaurant in town. In the afternoon, we continue our Heritage tour to the Jame Asr' Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque: One of the most magnificent mosque in Asia with 29 gold domes, you will be taken inside the mosque and then on to the Royal Regalia Building, completed in 1992, to celebrate the Siler Jubilee of His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque. It is filled with pictures of the Crown Prince, the full Royal Regalia items used during the Coronation, the Crown, the replica of the throne room, and numerous gifts from the state dignitaries. Istana Nurul Iman: An outside visit to the largest residential palace in the world, whick is situated on top of a hill overlooking the capital and the Brunei River. This is a great photo opportunity. DAY 15 - BRUNEI (B) Breakfast at Hotel, Free at leisure to enjoy the facilities of the Resort. Transfer to Airport for your departure flight, and your onward journey. |
