Once the pearling capital of the world, Broome is situated on the coast at southern tip of the Kimberley region, 18 degrees south of the Equator. The town is bounded by turquoise waters and one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in the world, Cable Beach.

Situated on a peninsular surrounded by beautiful blue seas bountiful with treasure, Broome is also the sounthern gateway to the raw wilderness of the Kimberlay, one of the world's last great frontiers.

The Kimberley region, referred to by locals as "The Land of Wait-a-While", boasts ancient rock formations, magnificent gorges, wild rivers that flow during the tropical summer and the timeless heritage of the Aboriginal people and their dreamtime.
