to Hotel Claremont ...
Only 3 kilometres from the centre of Melbourne.
You'll
find Hotel Claremont at 189 Toorak Road, South Yarra, on the
corner of Claremont Street and Toorak Road.
The Hotel
Claremont is easily reached by train or on Melbourne's famous
trams. If you have luggage, the train is probably your best
option. Of course, taxis are available everywhere.
Not only
is it easy to get to, because of the excellent public transport
at the door, you are within easy reach of Melbourne City, interstate
rail and bus station, Victorian Arts Centre, World Trade Centre,
the Casino, China Town, Olympic Park, Caulfield and Flemington
Race Courses, the Grand Prix and the nightlife of Melbourne.

Travelling
by Train?
Take a train
from Flinders Street Station or Spencer Street Station on either
the Frankston, Dandenong or Sandringham lines and get off at
South Yarra Station. Hotel Claremont is only a few metres to
your left, along Toorak Road.
Travelling by Tram?
Take Tram
No. 8 from Swanston St (City) or No. 77 from Batman Ave (City).
Alight at Tram Stop No. 30 in Toorak Road (Next to South Yarra
Station).
From the Airport?
Arrivals
at Tullamarine Melbourne Airport have a choice:
- Take
Taxi direct from Airport to Claremont Hotel, allow approximately
$55.
- Take
Sky Bus from in front of the Airport Arrival area, Tickets
are $13 from Airport to Spencer Street Railway Station. From
Spencer Street Station take train to South Yarra Station,
the Hotel is approximately 40 metres from the Station, on
the same side of Toorak Rd. as the Station [turn left as you
walk out of the station]. Allow $2.80 for train.
- Take
Super Shuttle from the "Travellers Services" counter
at the Qantas Domestic Arrivals hall, next to the Luggage
Carousel. The Super Shuttle is an Airport to Hotel service
which runs from 6AM to 8.30PM, cost is approx $20 pp one way.
