Points to Consider

Before your Climb there are a few points you need to consider.

  • The Climb takes approximately 3½ hours from the time of check-in to return to base at 5 Cumberland Street, The Rocks, Sydney.
  • BridgeClimb tickets are for a specific time and date, and are a non-refundable purchase. Climbers should plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled Climb time to check in as Climbs cannot be held for late arrivals.
  • Climbers must be 12 years of age and over. Concession Climbers (12 to 16 years inclusive) will need to be accompanied by a full-paying adult. There must be one adult Climber per two concession Climbers.
  • There is no maximum age limit to climb but you must take into account any medical condition that may impact on your ability to climb ladders and steep slopes safely. The BridgeClimb experience is moderately exerting, highly exhilarating and exposed to the weather.
  • All Climbers will need to complete a declaration form after checking-in for the Climb, and satisfy BridgeClimb's terms and conditions.
  • BridgeClimb welcomes people who are hearing impaired with our Auslan (Australian Sign Language) Climbs.
  • All Climbers receive a commemorative Climber Certificate and a complimentary group photograph, with all Climbers in the group receiving an identical photograph. Additional photographs are also taken by the group Climb Leader and can be purchased at the conclusion of the Climb.
  • Be ready to wear our BridgeSuit over your existing clothing. Lockers are provided, as loose objects cannot be taken onto the bridge, including cameras and video recorders.
  • All Climbers must wear suitable enclosed rubber soled shoes such as runners, track or hiking shoes which offer comfort, support and grip. PVC and leather-soled shoes are unsuitable.
  • Avoid alcohol. Every Climber will need to pass a breath test (for a blood alcohol limit of less than 0.05%) before being allowed to Climb.
  • Expectant mothers are not permitted to participate in the Climb.
  • BridgeClimb operates in all-weather conditions with the exception of electrical storms. In the event a Climb is cancelled due to an electrical storm, we will endeavour to offer an alternative departure. Climbing in challenging weather is an experience like no other!

  • If you intend to conquer your fear of heights by climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, you are not alone. Many of our most satisfied Climbers are those who have overcome the same fear.

Come ready for one of the
greatest experiences of your life!
